Last Sunday I watched  the movie in Netflix. After watching this movie I can say and must highlight these point. 1. Everyone  must watch this movie. 2. It is a showcase for new talent. 3. It is remind that cinema has a big power and influence.

I know Faraaz is a Bollywood made movie based on a true story of terrorist incident happened in Dhaka on July-1, 2016. It is do cu-drama style thriller action movie. We can see five heavily armed young man often Islamist militant group took hostage some innocent people. Most of them are foreigners and also girls and boys of localities families at a most of them are foreigners and also girls and boys of localities families at a famous restaurant. Holey Arisen Bakery in posh area of Dhaka. The militants killed 22 people, mostly foreign nationals. But the movie focused on a boy, son of Vip,  namely Faraaaz Ayaz Hossain’s bravery, selfishness, love for friends and altruism. In movie, this is significant that Faraaz   had the option of fleeing to safely after the hostage takers let him go out, but he choose to stand by his two friends. One of the significant character also in this movie is Nibras Islam. And he was a big terrorist. The terrorist believed themselves to be messengers of god who had been send to purify the land and teach people what it meant to be a true Muslim. Once nibras, came to near faraaz and tell him to recite (some sura), faraaz also recite and then nibras  gave him to opportunity to go away. But faraaz denied to leave that place  and also asked what is  the example of real muslim. Nibras was desparate, and he was stricted  at his point. Nibras told faraaz that he knew everything about islam and that he was trying to protect his religion from non-believers. Faraaz knew that anything he said agains the terrorist could lead to his death, but he just couldn’t stop himself. At last faraaz decided to stand by his friends and not compromise on his principles. Along with two friends faraaz were shot dead by nibras and his man. In this film we can see faraaz is the hero of the film. Faraaz was a student of American University. He was 23 years old. In this film we can see two boys have opposite mentality. One is Islamic extrimests. On the other hand faraaz   was brave, sacrifice minded and well educated.

 

 

 

 The essence of the movie is its simplicity. All the characters of the movie look real. The smartness of the movie and in the way it chooses, views and explores this true incident. It is a nice protest of  communalism and illness of religious extremism. But it was a tragic story.
