"Shantiniketan " such a peaceful place

 Since  3 years  i  was planing  to  visit   Shantiniketan , but my  time and opportunity  could not  properly  match to go there. But   with a sudden  plan me & some of my friends  decide  that  we  must  go there within  7 days. It was the month of December  2022.  At last we went  there.  Shantiniketan  is  situated  in Birbhum District ,     Bolpur , West Bengal , India.  It is established  in 1901 by the   renowned  poet and Nobel laureate   Rabindranath  Tagore.  Rabindranath  Tagore  first  visited  Shantiniketan  on 27 January  1878, when he was 17 years old.    It is  earned  a place  on   UNESCO's world   Heritage  list.It is known  "Viswa Bharati " Rabindranath Tagore created it with the  vision  of an Educational  Institute. It is famous  for its literary  and artistic  heritage.  We  went there for  only  3 days , but 3 days is not enough  for visit Shantiniketan. There is a  fair take place in the each afternoon  of Saturday’s  and continues  till sunset.  People  from around  the world  and  city of  Kolkata  regular visits  here.  We can say  it is  weekend  destination  for Kolkata .  Although  its main  attraction  is khoai  Mela  but  others things  also  special  here. We enjoyed local baul singers present  traditional  folk music  and songs by stringing their  ektaras.  It is significant  that  Shantiniketan's  soil color is red.  There are so many  festival  held here in each month.   Shantiniketan  is famous  for handicrafts  and home  decor items. We spent our   quality  time there.  I have to plane  to go there again
