Olympic Participation in India

We know the Olympic games are an International Sports festival, held every four years. The goal of the Olympic movement is to contribute to building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practiced without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play. The history of the games goes back around 3,000 years, to the Peloponnese in Ancient Greek.

2024 Olympics was held in Paris, France. OK Now I am describing about Participants of India Olympic 2024. The Paris 2024 Olympics will mark a significant milestone for Indian Sports. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, 117 athlete made of the Indian Contingent in 16 sports disciplines, comprise of 70 man and 47 women. In my opinion it was largest Indian Representation. P.V Sindhu and Shaath Kamal were the flag bearers  for the Opening Ceremony of Paris 2024. For the closing ceremony P.R. Serenest were the flag bearers. I told before there are so many categories for Olympic Players. India won 16 medals in Paris 2024 Olympics. Specially I want to say about Avanti Elkhart (Gold In Women’s 10m Air Rifles SH1) and Mariyapan Thangavelu(bronze in men’s high jump T63) on the 3rd Paralympics medals of their respective careers, as many as any other Indian in history. I can say about more some Participants: Young archery sensation Shelta Devi, just 17 years old, became the youngest Indian Paralympic medalist, winning bronze in the mixed team compound open event with partner Rakesh Kumar. Totally India has won 5 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze medals in Paris to achieve its best ever haul at a single edition of the Paralympic games. According to times of India report, the Indian Government spent PRs: 74 crore on Para-athletes for Paris Olympics 2024. It is significant that India was second largest contingent after Stanford University (U.S.A). We immensely feel proud that 24 students from Lovely Professional  University were represent India at the Paris Olympic 2024. This is incredible achievement of LPU. As a student of Lovely Professional University this is a great matter for me. At first I will tell about Neeraj Chopra (Athletics) B.A: Neeraj Chopra, an epitome of athletic excellence, stands as a beacon of hope for India at the Paris Olympics. Renowned for his prowess in javelin throw, Neeraj has consistently shattered records and elevated India’s status on the global athletic stage. I have to say more some name. They also Pride for us.
