Field Visit in Science City Jalandhar

On 24th January 2025 Our Journalism & Mass Communication department had arranged a field visit in Science city at Jalandhar. It was such a amazing field visit of our department. Asif Sir and Sughand Sir and Vinod Sir these three respected faculties had joined with us to visit this field visit. From block-19 we moved to science city and we had reached at 11:00 am. Our department had arranged a bus for visit this place. The PGSC is located on outskirts of Kapurthala on the Kapurthala Jalandhar Road. The foundation stone of PGSC was laid by the then prime minister Inder Kumar Gujral on 17 October 1997. Pushpa Gujaral was wife of former prime minister Inder Kumar Gujaral. Pushpa Gujaral Science city is spread over an area of 72 acres and was established with an objective of bringing modern and scientific temper to the predominantly agrarian area.People say a science city shall be conceptually similar to a science center. We saw saw so many things there. The science park has become an integral part in all the centres of the national council of science museums. It comprises a caterpillar ride, gravity coaster, nursary and several exhibits on physical and life sciences.Not only those we saw science voyage hall, 3D movies, interactive exhibits, replica human heart, health gallary, energy park and dinosor park. Dinosor park is a fun area of all ages people. I was amuzed to see earth quake simulator. It is such a great educational experience. It has also a water park. Science city also arrange online training, webiners and summar camps. We knew government of India and the Punjab Government jointly funding to more improve for PGSC. We took so many photographs and captured some videos. That was our most awaited field visit. I want to say a science city visit is crucial for students as it fosters a love for science, provides hands on learning opportunities, ultimately enhancing their understanding of scientific concepts and promoting a scientific mindset. Moreover the digital world and science cities are increasingly intertwined. So if great opportunity everyone should at least one time must visit to science city.
